Osprey Pano and some other resident in the cove

[coastalconn]

The Ospreys are still here in crazy numbers. Counted 50 plus in the cove. I got the idea of trying to take a 6 shot panorama with the 150-600 at 150mm in portrait orientation and try to stitch them together. I ended up with this.. Manged to fit 20 of them in the image. Comments welcome.. Thanks for looking

Nice job on the pano, that's crazy to see that many in one photo!

The American Mink looks like me when I first wake up in the morning.

They are all great. Agree, I can't imagine that many Osprey in 1 place!
There must be a ton of fish in that cove!!

If you're getting cobwebs in bed, you're doing it wrong.

Sure! 20 Ospreys in one photo, and I can't remember the last time I saw one. Excellent set! Love the mink.

I've been trying to photograph the Atlantic Menhaden in the cove for some scientists that are trying to collect data. These fish are the favorite of the Osprey. The Osprey actually wait until a bigger game fish stuns the baitfish and then they make their move.. There were a lot of fish there..
Sorry about the sensor spots on this one. These are 3rd year fish that just swim around and filter feed..

Nice set. Like the mink. Really 50 Osprey in one area, better keep that on the low down your giving away some secrets. Most I've seen up here at once is 4, 2 adults and their 2 chicks

[BillM]

50 in one spot !!! So exactly where in Idaho is this great Osprey spot Kris

I hardly ever see Osprey and when I do, they're usually too far for me to capture with my camera. Maybe one day I'll get lucky. I like the mink, warbler and the surprised look of the Osprey.

These are brilliant!
