I quite like the simplicity of Photo 2 here! If that were mine, I guess I'd have cropped off some of the top and then in from the right ... well, I think I would have done so.

Great use of dof in the first photo, although I think it could benefit by cropping some of the empty space on the right hand side. I really like the second one but once again imho it could be improved by cropping a little closer.
