Photos NOT OK to edit
I've just registered here and already have a question. I have some Ilford Delta 100 film that's been refrigerated since new. The expiration date is in 2004 (yeah, I bought into digital).
If I use this will I get satisfactory results for getting back into film photography?

Thanks.

Yeah it's fine.

For black & white film, it usually needs to be 20 years or more out of date before you have to worry. But, with it being refrigerated, I wouldn't worry at all.

Having been refrigerated, this item should give acceptable results. What usually happens is that, as film ages gently, the fog density (or base + fog density) comes up, leaving the rest of it alone. Refrigeration slows this process significantly.

I have some old unrefrigerated Tri-X dated 1981 that I threw in a camera to check the camera out, developed it, and it wasn't half bad. It did have just bit extra grainy look to it, but still OK.
