Are you into astrophotography? That is a lot of space to see space! Are you in a dark sky area? If so I'm jealous! But not of the heat. I hate the heat.

I am not into astrophotography mainly because of the higher dollars involved. I can get a much better, bigger, clearer image looking at one of the members pictures for cheap. The sky changes with the seasons. It can be pure black with a moon, and sometimes Orion's belt and both dippers light up the sky for us. =]

I have seen many great astro photos taken without any special equipment. You should give it a try. I use a cheap Samyang 12mm lens. Check out the lonely speck website for some easy to follow instructions if you’re interested.

@SquarePeg I will go out tonight and see if I can get anything. I took this two weeks ago and posted it in the moon thread. Straight out of camera. You can see how black the sky is.
