Cool shot, not at all what I pictured Idaho to look like. Love all the different textures you captured.

This is Southern Idaho, its a region commonly known as the Owyhee Uplands or Mountains or Canyonlands. It's a harsh, volcanic desert area full of Moab like rock features, mountains, rivers and slot canyons. It's not easily explored. You need a high clearance vehicle to go anywhere that's not off of the main road system.

That's a lovely shot.

There are a few things that I can immediatley see. First you shot it at a wide angle, so the archway is the main focal point but very small in the frame as it's in the center and wide angle lenses squish everything in the middle of the frame. I would also have stopped down my aperture to f11 or f16, if you look closely at the foreground at the bottom of the frame you can see it gets out of focus as it gets closer to you where the other edges in the shot are sharp. Lastly I can see you've slightly chopped the grass on the left hand side and the bush with the yellow flowers, just a few mm more on the left hand side would have showed the edge of the plant which would have been a bit tidyer. I'd conssider cropping it to a 4:3 and loosing the oof foreground, but retaining the three dark stones that form the leading line.

But saying all that the colours are lovely, the composotion is good with nice leading lines and it keeps the eye in the frame well.
