Pair images files under same file names

I have been shooting like crazy. For some weird reason, I have 764 pair image files under the same file names. Is there a way to rename these files to make these different file names without going individual files and rename one at a time?

Highlight them all, then right click and choose "Rename files.....". Enter the name you want, and it will rename them all with a sequential (x) after each. So you'll end up with DSC_0001 (1), DSC_0001 (2) or Wedding (1), Wedding (2)....

Or, your could download a free rename software, like Bulk Rename Utility.
