Heavy rainfalls made the river waters rise so many fields, meadows and also roads got flooded in L'bruck in the middle of January. The fire fighters had to turn into water fighters to pump out several cellars. L'bruck citizens helped the fire fighters fill up sandbags to try and keep the waters of the river F away from people's homes.

We like to report that the famous L'bruck citizen "LaFoto's" house was never in any danger of being flooded.

Battou, I hope the best for you and your place!!!

Actually those are great shots, with out the explination #2 and #3 could be easily mistaken for ponds or streams or even lake front property.

I could only wish our waters where that clean, sadly despite the water temprature being as low as it is it is still a murkey brown and nasty. If we do get flooded I will with out a doubt be shovelin up some mud.

Glad to hear your home wasn't affected by the flooding, Corinna.

And I really like that first shot (with the sun, and the lady with the bicycle). You can tell, though, from that second shot that she quickly ran out of 'dry ground' on which to push her bike.

hhm, i knew you were closer to the sea than i am... but that close?

good to know that you can still sleep with your feet dry :)
