Ale is the darker in the pint-photo (which, by the way, is not taken out of Google Images, that one's one of my own pics ... and I even have pics of SPAM somewhere - I took them last year in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, but I am too tired to go look for them). The Ale back then (the photo was taken when we did our boat cruise on the Norfolk Broads in 2000) was mine, by the way .
