Passion Flower (I think)

These just started to bloom recently in the wife's garden. Pretty cool looking flower.

Yes, that's a passion flower. Aren't they the coolest looking? I'd love to see a really close up of it.

That's very pretty. It probably would look better as a close up but it's very attractive as it is. Is the fringe really that blue? I though I remembered a more lavender or magenta fringe on passion flowers.

The more mundane name is "Maypop" I believe. If you have ever stepped on one of the pods you know where the "pop" part came from.

I'll try to get a good close up of the next one to bloom. The colors are pretty accurate to real life. I'll get the film developed and a picture disk so maybe it will come out better than scanning on my cheapo home flatbed scanner.
