Yeah - is good...
Yeah - I have nearly 50 yrs experience with Pentax - both film and digital...
Screw lens won't fit into bayonets...

I'm sure i read that the Km and the MG have the K-mount, wouldnt that be the same??

Looks like the Pentax K-m is called the K-2000 here in the US. Not too many DSLR competitors in it's price range...closest one would be the Olympus E-520. Can't say which is better.

No actually It could come in handy, because they're easely bought anywhere, wheras you might not have a wall plug in the viscinity (on a trip or something)

The downside is, they might add some bulk to your camera...

Why? You can buy rechargeable AA batteries for much less than proprietary batteries from manufacturers like Canon and Nikon. And if all your batteries are flat, you can buy non-rechargeable AA batteries almost anywhere to keep shooting. To me the use of AA batteries looks like an advantage.
