Pentax K-x

I was thinking about getting my first DSLR after a couple months of photography with my Pentax ME super. I love the camera the only problem is the price of buying film and then getting it developed.(Over 16 dollars per 36 mm roll). So I was thinking about getting the Pentax K-x which after some research including trying my brothers nikon D40 seemed like the best entry level DSLR.
My question is those of you have this camera/tried it, what do you think of it? Also, what sized digital card does it hold? I would prefer to, as much as possible, be able to shoot for long periods without having to upload/buy new cards.
