Went out shooting a pair of peregrine falcons that are known to be active at their location. Came away with this series that I like the most.

And a random capture of one shaking themselves out before hunting.

I’m still very new to this, so have a ton to learn.

Shot on Nikon D850 with a Sigma 150-600 Sports.

A very nice series of great captures.

This is a great set! First and last shots are my favorites, but they all are keepers. :)

Have to agree with Jeff - the first and last shots are great! The first has a fantastic underbird profile along with a really well spread out tail; whilst the rest is impressive for showing several clear and sharp stages of the landing. The last is great with the kind of golden light in the dust that photographers dream of! I might be tempted to boost the brightness in the shadows and around the facial area a bit just to bring it out, but without flattening the contrast in the shot and overwhelming the light on the dust and back.

Wow, those are some fantastic shots with the sun behind!

Excellent set. Pretty much all of them are cracking shots.

Lovely stuff--thanks for sharing. I also agree that the first and last really stand out.
