Regarding artistic forms, either simply photography or videography, or anything else, I try not to break laws. Copyrights can be tricky when I want to quote something, or use music, but I do make an effort to stay on the good side. Anyway, I have run across something where someone is trying, (and seems to have succeeded) in scamming the system. I am not currently involved in this, I'm posting this in case you are interested:
