There was a feature article about Arlington National Cemetery in the Extra section of Washington Post today, Thursday June 7, and much of the story concerned a picture book on Arlington published by National Geographic.
Proceeds from sale of the book will be used to fund commemorative copies given to families of every service member killed while serving on active duty from now on.
I have bought a copy directly from National Geographic, rather than a local bookstore, so that the maximum amount from the sale goes towards that purpose. http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/jump.jsp?itemID=3689&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1,2,104,116,1004
According to the article, military and civilian photographers took over 30,000 pictures at Arlington over a period of two years in preparation for this book.
