Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi. The shoot went well :) I had a lot of fun and the model did too. She had five total outfits, I am about 1 and a 1/2 outfits done with editing, here are the results so far. C&C if you want! I will be adding more photos as I edit. Like I said it will be pic heavy so it's okay if you do or don't C&C, I just want to share my photos from tonight & see if there is any overall huge problems in them. Thanks

Some were overexposed, some were blurry. Most are not! I notice that some I made a different color then others but I don't have a problem with this, other than the consistency issue. I'm not sure, I edited one and save it as a preset but it doesn't always look good on another photo so I then change that settings until I like it. Oh and I also seem to chop fingers, elbows and crop very tightly. I tried not to but looks like from the earlier photos I did it quite a bit. Thanks for viewing.

These are much better than the orange pic you posted! :D j/k I love the contrast between her skin and the grass.

I like #1 and #5 the most, with #1 could use a bit more headroom and #5 would have been better with her on the left side of the frame IMHO. =)

Looks like it went well! Good! Looking forward to seeing all the pics you post...

Thank you Vtec! I'm happy it turned out better than I expected and happy to be able to critique my photos and see where I went wrong and what I did right. Are these photos huge for you? I thought the forum resized them but they look giant to me.

I do have one question, I did use a flash and a reflector but I noticed her face is often either darker or lighter than her chest. How can I correct or avoid this in the future?

I like #12
I feel the composition could have been a bit better.
Placement of her, and the crop.
Possibly a shallower depth of field? (I haven't done much shots like this)
But that can be added in photoshop quite easily since the photo is pretty 'clean'.=

The rest don't seem to grab my attention, they just seem "bleh". (I don't mean it in a bad way, they just seem like 'facebook pictures'.)
I like #5 too, but the color feels a bit harsh.
I think it'd be nice if the color tones were the same as #12.

Anyways, good stuff!

Too many photos to possibly give decent C&C, so I'll just say she is hot.

one thing that I noticed at a quick glance was the difference in WB between all of this images. I am not sure if this is a difference in "feel" while processing, or a mistakeon your part...

Hi Rosshole- I look at each photo as an individual and not part of a group, or I divide them into smaller clusters, and then work on the editing based on what I think works for that image- not based on how every other image looks (unless it's part of a cluster). I feel limited by keeping the white balance at one place, also there were changes as the night progressed from sun overhead to sunset & from locations in shade or under heavy clouds to locations by water or out in the open. So all of this played factor in how I edited for WB after :) Thanks for taking a look!

I shot all in raw and I love raw files now. I'm addicted to them.

Thank you for the comments PatrickJamesYu & Forkie. I don't agree that they are bleh at all lol, but I do appreciate the feedback. I don't expect anyone to c&c every photo, but this is the beginner gallery too so I thought I would share from my shoot since so many people helped me prepare for it. Thanks to all.

BTW- this model told me that at one shoot the 'photog' even took his penis out & tried to make her touch it! She told me she's been on there for 7 months and has met 3 legit photographers. The rest are perverts! It's crazy. She also said some don't give any photos after, or will send her 1, maybe 2, because all they really wanted was to get her naked.

IMO, WB is either on, or off....

1, 2, 3, 5, and 8 loook good to me, while 4, 6 and 9 look on the cool side. while I agree that different lighting situations require a different color temperature, there is a small range that looks good, and the rest that do not look good.

Okay I will edit them some more and see how they look better.

thumbs up on #5, #13, and the model :O

#1 would have been a fav had her eyes been opened...

I do actually love #5, 10, and 12.

The flash work is a little hot on a few of the others, start taking some reflectors/diffusers or use your bounce card. The series is nice, could just stand to be a little more refined, but I like so far. Doesn't hurt that you got a cute model too. :)

Thanks Christian. I did have my flash, diffuser and reflector! I'm still working on lighting, & getting a good wb. I seem to get a lot of comments about wb. So either I see the world truly differently lol or my monitor does.

Actually my flash has been acting funny. This is the second time it's happened but it used up the full batteries, twice! I had back ups and it used those as well. We were only out for 2 hours, so this is kinda surprising because until last week I've never had it go through batteries so quickly.
