Photographing one of my passion, piano

Opinions please!
I initially wanted to photograph the entire piano but unfortunately, it is really ugly looking and with all the settings around it.. I couldn't get a good picture, maybe I will give it another try and post it here later though!

not bad... I think a bit more directive lighting might have been nicer, of course, I'm also usually more intrigued with say fingers playing the piano than a static shot of just the piano.

A shot looking down the keyboard, using a shallow DOF would be nice. It's also a good "rule" of composition that when you have diagonal lines going through your frame, they should originate/terminate in the corners of the frame.

Not sure if that makes sense without visuals, but hope it helps regardless.
