Photography Forum or Market Place?

What is with the sudden influx of new members only joining to adveritise their crap???? I know its almsot christmas and everything so people want to sell their crap and others want to buy it, but this is pretty ridiculous...it's like e-bay.

I do recall that the marketplace was hidden for non-members at one time (I think). If not then I think the suggestion that it be hidden has been made several times in the past.
