Photoshop/Lightroom questions

Hi I'm very new to the forum and SLR photography I have photoshop but only elements and was just wondering if anyone thinks it'd be worth getting Lightroom? Opinions on what's better? Or are there better editing programmes out there? I love making images look that bit different, like I say I'm very new to it all so I'm only really playing around with it all at the mo

You can download a 30 day free trial of Lightroom 4 from the Adobe website and then decide.

Download the beta of LR5 to see. It has a few extras that LR4 doesn't have and seem to be good. No information on the release date of LR5 though.

Lightroom is a great program. I find for the most part it's all the editing I need.
