Picking Grandma's flowers. C&C welcomed.

This is one that I took a while back and thought I would redo the post processing using Lightroom. My daughter was out picking flowers for her Mom and Grandmother in Grandmother's flowers. She didn't even know that I was taking this photo.

It's a cute photo, I just wish that there wasn't so much of her cropped. I think too some fill light would have helped a lot, BUT it is a nice image of a quiet moment, and technical issues aside, it's a keeper.

Thanks tireiron. This was taken not too long after I got my camera and didn't know anything. (may be an arguement that I still don't know anything) Knowing what I know now, I would do it different that's for sure. I was trying to do as much as I could in lightroom to improve it.

Question, does the skin tone look okay? The "glare" at the lower right of the image was playing tricks with me as I was editing it.

I see that slight glare in the lower right...looking at that, ya' know Ron, I think MAYBE this would look good really,really lightened up, and made to look VERY back-lighted...bordering on blown-out...which would give it a very light,bright,delicate look...might be worth a try to take the processing to the opposite extreme!!

I agree with this. As far as skin tone, it may be very slightly green. It is pretty hard to tell with the lighting. Just try experimenting a little to see if you can make it better.

I took a stab at it in Light Room...went with an "antique" look, very pale, washed out coloring...could not get the desired high-key effect working from the 8-bit JPEG...a RAW file would make it much easier to get the desired effect...this is not quite what I would envision, but it's another "look"...

Derrel, that almost looks b&w. I like it. I'll have to see if I have the raw file or if this was one that I shot in jpeg. (I know, I was still learning.)
