Pics from tonight

Tonight I waited around for the sun to set so I could go attempt to photograph it. I think a couple of these are ok. What is the best technique for shooting a sunset or sunrise? I also took a few from the surrounding area. Let me know how you feel about them.

#1 is a quite funky angle.. I like it alot.
#2 I like because of the neat use of DOF. It's great that you captured the details in those spikes(word?).
I like the first of those sunset shots the most. It is really massive..

I'm with Foffen here on the first of all the sunset photos: I like that one best, too.
And the shallow-DOF-on-barbed-wire-pics are becoming classics soon, too, aren't they. And always again good to look at! Always.
