Taken on boxing day. 100mm lens. Slightly cropped. Flash bounced off ceiling. C&C please.

Sorry if this might come off harsh.

The shot is underexposed
There is an obvious shadow from the flash.
There are a lot of distracting elements in the picture (i.e. black thing, railing)
I like the evenness of the lighting on her.
Shadows of something on the wall.
It's sharp enough.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but this just looks like a snapshot.

No problem. That's why I'm looking for C&C. If I could not take it, I would be here.

I do agree with your comments. It wasn't a posed picture at all. Hense the speaker cabinet, etc. I was more wondering about how I did with the lighting. I guess I should have been more specific on that. lol

Bouncing off the ceiling can be better than direct flash, but the pics can go dark, depending on how high the ceiling, color of ceiling, etc. A better way to go is to use something like the UltraSoft from Lumiquest, which gives you bounce plus diffusion in one small unit. Here's the link:
