Pipe C&C please

Hi!
Just wanted to know what you guys think of this shot...would it be worth it if I took it again but with a "real" black background (had no background at all, just my orange wall) and black tape under the glass (had a cardboard box under the clear glass table, hence the brown) and smoke behind, in the background?

I think having it illuminated a bit more would of been better....but it looks like a nice tobacco pipe!

Nice colours and very sharp, but kill the little patch of light near the middle left - maybe clone it out, or, as you have suggested, use a real black backgroun. Nevertheless, if you hadn't told me what it was, I am not sure I would have known...maybe if you had taken it at a slight angle to show the geometry of the pipe itself - don't know.
