For awhile there pit bikes were quite the rage. They have mini-moto's here on tuesday night.
I've always thought they looked goofy too, but I have two friends that own them along with normal MX bieks and I've riden them, and they are a relatively safe, and cheap alternative. My other buddy used to race them for BRP out in Seattle area. Whatever gets you riding I guess!

Guess they are back, this season they are having a complete pitbike series. It's obvious they aren't stock though. The 50 this guy had was beefed up quite a bit.
