Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I have been to a photo gallery recently and they had an exhibition where all the exhibits were "platinum prints"
Dark Heavens - Hunters and Shamans of Mongolia

Absolutely non reflective prints and a very large tonal range. Was very enjoyable.
Does anyone have any experience here with platinum prints? or any views or comments.
I tried to read as much i could about it.

I've never made any, but I've seen them and they are gorgeous! I like the way the image seems to be part of the paper. Good inkjet prints on a textured matte surface have some of that feel, but there's nothing like a real platinum print.

They are lovely and i do them frequently.

One has to handcoat paper and use a negative that is the size of the desired finished print.

Expsoure is made using the sun, or a UV box which gives better control.

Check out Christopher James book on Alternative processes for more detailed information.

They are lovely

Wow, that is a big letdown, lol.

It's been close to 40 years since I first stepped into a darkroom and it is still as magical today as it was then. And Platinum Prints are way more than "lovely."

My new darkroom is almost ready to be used and I can't wait to have time to spend in there. I want to make my own paper..........
