Played with a D90 and no longer feel like taking pics

I'm the same way, I found the solution is to NEVER let yourself touch or investigate (via sample images or reviews) a 'better' camera until, and not before, you feel your current camera is no longer meeting needs.

So for me, sure, it's tough to ignore the D3x... but really, I don't feel limited by the D3 - not one little bit. But I know if I looked at the D3x files, I'd probably start jonesin' for it.

Just avoid the situation entirely.
