I came in here to tell you that these sort of "photos" are overdone, but ended up pretty impressed by number 3. Not for any one reason, but I like it. Would make a great avatar.

I don't care for the first shot but I think you got what you were trying to do.

The second shot looks like a poster for a scary movie.

The third one is cool. Been seeing a lot of these lately, but yours came out very good. I don't think I've seen any where they turn off the flashlight between letters. Nicely done.

odd. i went to the park tonight to do pics like this.

i did some writing with a flashlight..and i did multiple locations for myself in a park bench scene.

didn't put any of them up...just don't feel like wasting anyone's time. (mine were real garbage).

you're handwriting came out really well in the third one. i know how hard it can be. my wireless remote is coming this week from bhphoto so i won't be limited to 30 second drawings or exposures.

I really like the third one.

I assume you used a long shutter(or bulb?) and low ISO/narrow aperture in a dark room.... I'm stumped on how your face showed up... but not your hand. Did you do some PP? I'm interested in the technique if you wouldn't mind sharing.

these are straight from the camera no PP and I think the handwriting came out bad in the third pic lol. ISO was at 100 for all of them and the aperature was at f/8. The shutter speed was 4 second for the first one, 1 second for the second one, and 10 seconds in the third one. As for the lighting i turned off all the lights in my room and closed all the doors and use my cheap $2 flash light that has one LED in it to light up my face/do the writing. I did this before but decided to do it again after seeing ShutterSpeed's post lol.

you did do it much better than me. I just started this.

I found a website with a guy who has a book on light painting photography.

i'd provide it,but i'm unsure if it would offend people since it has some nudes on it.

The third one is sweet! It looks like graffiti! Must have been hard to do backwards.
