My husband gave me a Raynox 250 macro lens/filter for my birthday. It is basically a magnifier that attaches on to the lens adapter for my point and shoot S3IS
I think its a nice little toy for $44.00, plus the reason I went with this instead of the canons macro for the S3, was with the Raynox you dont have to get so close to your subject, so if its a scary bug I dont have to get so close.
It was fun playing with it, and I haven't quite mastered it yet, you can see where I have missed the focus of the center of the rose. It seems that when fully zoomed the point in focus is tiny, I was using my camera zoomed in about halfway for the majority of the photos, and the picture that has the circular frame was the lens zoomed all the way out.
