Plum Blossoms

I know these aren't all that special considering all the amazing photography that has been done with this subject matter... but it is what I got for now. C&C welcome.

A few more from yesterday. Decided I would try again when the light wasn't quite as harsh.

1. I should probably do more retouching on this one. I hate retouching too much but there seems to be a lot of mud and what not on the blossoms. As much is to be expected though when your 5 year old it collecting them in her hat.

3. Not sure the back side of the blossoms are strong enough to carry a photo but thought I would try it.


4. We only have one tree with these fuller blossoms. When I first saw them up close they looked pretty damaged but they seem to photograph nice. May have to go back and try some more shots with this tree.

I really like the first one, stands out from the rest! The last one in your second post is nice to, I don't like the first in the second post due to lack of interest and number 2 and 3 has a little harsh light and shadows.

Over all, nice work!

I like the original post. There's a lot of branch distraction in 2 and 3 that take away from the subject. 4 is nice too!
