American Indian Health - Health ~~~A little info about this poisonous-to-humans fruit.
 
I believe you can eat the greens when they are young, but I wouldn't partake.

If you can figure out how to stabilize it from the sun, they are supposed to make a nice purple-brown ink.

Yes, you can and also the stems when young. I have had them ( stems ) rolled in corm meal and fried ( almost like Okra ) when I was young in the South. Apparently, some American Indian tribes in the southwest used them to treat several types of ailments.

And the Piscataway tribe of Southern Maryland ate skunks, back in the day -- no thanks.
