Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Just discovered a fun little program called "Polardroid" and it's free.

You can download it from www.poladroid.net and works on both Mac & Windows (sorry linux guys)

Feed it a JPEG and it'll produce another JPEG which mimics a polaroid print complete with border and that unique coloring.

You also see the image develop as you would with a real polaroid camera.

You may want to crop your source JPEG to a square format beforehand as the program will automatically crop to the square centre of the source JPEG.

Just a bit of fun. May be there's a photo theme in this.

enjoy

how do you "feed it a jpeg"?

i looked at the directions, but i am not great with computers so i am lost

Sweet! I'm waiting for the first one to develop...

Just drag & drop. Open your pictures folder, then drag a picture onto the camera.

got it, finally ;)

My first one:

Makes me glad I don't own a Polaroid camera...the pictures are awful...lol...

Lol, there is a good reason why polaroid went bankrupt.

Actually, with the growing popularity of digital, and most importantly it's "instant gratification," Polaroid lost most of it's niche market. Why buy expensive instant film when you could view your shots instantly on a point-n-shoot?

The other mainstream for Polaroid were, indeed, professionals. They would use Polaroid much like we use the preview on digital cameras: they'd set up the shot and snap a Polaroid to see how it looked, including exposure. There were many Polaroid 'backs' for high end film cameras. With digital, and preview, we can snap off as many as we want to 'getter right.' Since you couldn't / can't do that with film, Polaroid was the "preview" function for many.
