Very nice. So nice to see flowers blooming somewhere. Right now I would be glad to see the ground again - about an 8 inch snow pack here! I haven't seen actual ground since some time back in early February!

Wow, thanks everyone!! It was a VERY welcome sight here as well. These crocuses actually first sprouted up last week--and promptly got buried under several inches of snow and ice. I was a little surprised that they not only survived, but still looked pretty decent for the most part.

I feel your pain--just hang on a bit longer. If Spring is starting to take hold here, it won't be TOO much longer before there are signs of it for you all as well. But, I gotta admit--if I lived up north, I'd have probably either killed myself or moved to the Bahamas LONG before I made it through…well, never MIND how many winters I've made it through.

Thanks Marija!! Leave it to my sweet daughter to point out the harsh lighting!
These flowers were in a place in my yard where the only two options were NO light or harsh light. They don't get the sun on them at all until late enough in the day that the light IS harsh.
I tried earlier when they were still in shadow, but hated it.

Of course, I *could* have gone for Option 3: Use a flash, dummy. But I didn't because…reasons.
Mostly, I was lazy and didn't want to.
