Hey guys, new here. Here's my photo. you can find it on my wordpress along with others: 35mm express. Agfa Vista 400 and Fuji 200 | David J Photography

I'm not sure if I used my Pentax ME Super or my point and shoot, but the film type is the fujifilm 200 ISO one that you find at your local grocery stores (if they still carry film). What do you guys think? I personally like the lines along with the interesting reflections the window makes of the tree.

I like this despite one or two little problems.

I suppose the most obvious issue is that it looks as though the building is falling over backwards: whether it's possible to get round this using another lens or taking a different position (perhaps elevated if possible) would be something to think about. That said I like the composition on the whole and the curve of the facade is well shown, so if it's the best shot that you can get with your equipment and because of the location, then okay.

In my experience Fuji 200 is flat and lacks saturation, and I think this shows through here. That may be what you wanted, but then I think I would have been inclined to use a B&W film. I think you could get far more out of the reflections and the contrast between tree and architecture in B&W. Also the blown sky wouldn't be so obvious.

It's not much for an architectural photograph, so if I were capturing this I would get it into more of an abstract by zooming tight to get just the branches and the central section of the windows.

From what I can remember, I don't think I could have elevated myself as much, but I don't know. I kind of wanna go and see again. BTW, now I'm pretty sure it was with my 50mm since I would have shot it differently if it was my point and shoot. As far as the fuji film, I would say that this is actually what I wanted. it's cool color which to me interprets well what I was feeling most days here in Portland. Chilly, cold, wintery.

Like Designer said, I probably would have gone in closer too though. more abstract.
