Cute kid. Be more careful about cutting off limbs (like hands) right at the joints. I think the composition could use just a little more room over his head and to the sides - he looks cramped in that box. There's a black thing growing out the side of his head that's distracting. There's a part of someone's arm or something on the left side of the frame that would probably be better cloned out. The whole thing could stand to be sharpened. The watermark/signature is in an odd place that draws too much attention, distracts from the photo, and is easily removed.

In short, a cropped snapshot is not really a portrait.

I feel like Buckster hit every single talking point except one...an adorable child for sure, but there's the cropping, the lack of head space, the black 'thing', the stray 'something', the sharpness issue, watermark. The one thing he left out is more a matter of final image presentation, but it's that darned lined background...those horizontal lines are very much competing for our interest; smoothing out those lines in the background would really help, a LOT. Of course, that requires a certain level of Photoshop image retouching skills---BUT, the upside is that it would also be done in an operation where you create a larger "canvas" in Photoshop, and then ADD some additional head space by cloning-in some of the white above the top of his head.
