Portrait of my Mother

Ever learning! I now have a separation light up and that has pulled some of the flatness out of my photos. Any other critique is more than welcome. This pic of my mother looks very much like her senior pic from high school!

The hair/separation light is great, the hair highlight and detail are my favorite part of this photo. I do think it's lacking light in the eyes though. They are too dark and lacking any significant catchlights. Also, I think it could have been improved by having the camera somewhat higher than the subject.

Whenever we added a good lighting system, we found that we loved the depth that it added to our photos too. Overall a good shot.
