If you want critique you'd be better off in the critique forum. 
I like the first one because you can still see the child's face. With the second it's too dark. The features are hard to see. Of course, if you were going for a silhouette style to show the shape and form rather than the two people in it then you'd done well. For that sort of thing I would suggest they bother wear very dark clothes.
I like them both though.
