I don't purchase anything from ebay sellers unless there's atleast 500 feedbacks above the 98th percentile.

There are alot of good deals out there but there are also alot of scams.

Lol, that just about eliminates private sellers, where u get the best deals. As long as u use paypal to pay your purchase is protected, the worst that could happen is your $$ being tied up for a little while as your dispute is processed.

Thats often true, but it makes sense to gamble when u have such good buyer protection.

Personally, i often look for suspious listings, knowing that they will turn most buyers off. I once bought a huge 50 piece lot of nikon gear on ebay for $3000, everything was used, some of it was broken, but i took a chance and i ended up over doubling my $$ once i parted the lot out; even though i kept about $1000 worth of gear.

Heres an ebay tip: never bid on anything with a return policy. If the item is listed as working ebay/paypal will force the seller to accept a return if the item arrives "not as described." The only thing a return policy does is allow u to return it even if it does match the description. Items listed "as-is" sell for much less, even though ebay gaurantees the will arrive as described.
