Powerex charger vs Powerex charger

Nothing it seems - same make and model - same batteries included. Chances are one is simply older stock and because the titles are differently put in their system thinks there's two distinct different items (possibly employee error).

Well, they said the kits are two different companies.

Question : What is the difference from these two kits?Powerex MH-C800S 8-Cell Smart Charger with 8 AA Batteries Kit andPowerex MH-C800S 8-Cell Smart Charger for AA / AAA MH-C800S8AA27

Boyd H : Hi, my name is Boyd. Please give me a moment to look into this.
Boyd H : I don't see any difference between these two kits, other than the price.
Me : Why the prices are different?
Boyd H : One is a Powerex kit and one is a B&H kit, so they're being sold by two different companies. I don't know why one is more than the other, but we often have identical products with different prices from different companies.
Me : okay, thanks.

I think what he means is that the charger + batteries is a "kit" which is being sold by both themselves and Powerrex - the actual charging unit is Powerrex.

Spaky the second line on the link shows that it also includes the 8 batteries as well.

I just bought a kit. I also have Eneloop batteries. Is it okay to charge these in Powerex charger? I have several Eneloop chargers, and these are slow. I think the Powerex charger is twice as fast.

Here's the thing; the faster you charge rechargeable batteries the shorter their overall lifespan and capacity become; whilst charging them slower improves their lifespan and general performance - even eneloops.

Thus the Powerrex charger might be faster (actually if its anything like their others it will have variable rates that you can set) but it would be best to set it to slow. Ideally put the batteries in overnight so that it doesn't matter if it takes a few hours. The Powerrex will cut power once the batteries are full (which is something cheap charging units don't do) so you can easily leave them charging overnight.

It does generally work well - I used it in the past on some older rechargeables and they certainly performed better after being reconditioned.

Of course you don't have to use it all the time; only when needed.
