Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi all,

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for a tutorial which would assist me in producing images that look like this:-

Untitled | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Let's see if it will still work if I drop it from this height | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Day #264

Now, before anyone rips my head off for not using the search function, I have! None of the existing threads provide an in depth, step by step to obtaining the desired effect.

I'm not looking to copy these people exactly, I just want to know the steps taken in order for me to make necessary adjustments to suit what I have in mind for my own photos. I'm really looking to learn and practice from camera through PP.

If someone could politely explain what I would have to do or provide me with some links for tutorials I would greatly appreciate it.

Many thanks in advance.

What program are you going to be using? Photoshop or lightroom? The processes will be similar either way, but Lightroom's interface is a bit easier to work with for simple post production color effects like the few you have posted.

Hi there, I have both Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5, so happy to be taught either way :)

TPF rules/regs don't allow us to post photos we don't own exclusive copyright to, or have a valid use license for. http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/faq.php

We can however post links to photos we don't own. Just because a photo is on the web, doesn't mean you can copy it without permission from the photo's copyright owner.

Hey there, can you PM people that kind of info instead. Thanks.

Anyway, can anyone help?

Why? It's something everyone (including non-members that can't be PM'd) needs to know, and gets repeated in public several time per week, week-in-week-out, here on the forums.

I am not a forum admin/mod, but I do make my income from my copyrighted work, so copyright infringement is an issue near and dear to my wallet.

Have you searched YouTube for tutorials? It'll probably be easier to find what you want that way

Also contact the owner of the flickr images you like. They could put you in thr right direction on how to get their look

I have and the tutorials are OK I guess...

I definitely have with some you're lucky if you get a response. It must be some kind of closely guarded secret on Flickr or something. My PMs are always very polite but I can imagine I'm not the first person to ask them! I thought I'd try my luck here too.
