Practicing my editing...

I'm practicing some photo editing and I would like some feedback. Please know that I'm new at this and these edits are very basic using Photoscape. I took out the pool step in the background. Also, that little patch of grass in the lower right hand corner is bugging me. I tried cropping it, but I thought it looked too tight. Any suggestions??? The other thing that bugs me about the picture is the strong shadow on him. To prevent that next time would a reflector have helped? I have to shoot the dogs where they are since they aren't very cooperative when I'm trying to position them..:mrgreen:

You should work a little more in your cropping ( composition ) and a little more of brightness, that's all , I guess the brightness is most people's issue because of the monitor's calibration . Good work !

Thank you for the feedback...What would have been a better way to crop it? Should the rock on the right been in the picture? Does he look underexposed? Sorry for so many questions!!


Ahhhh...Yes, he is underexposed in the picture. I went back and brightened him up more. Is this better? Actually, now that I look at this...It looks overexposed..His fur has lost some detail...Am I right?

Here are three pictures... The left one is underexposed, and the one on the right is overexposed. I would say the middle one is exposed properly. Am I right?
