Practicing with my flash..

How does it look? I'm trying to learn what looks right and what is too much. I used my speedlight with a micro Apollo light modifier and I was using my flash sync cord. Thank you!!

MUCH improved over some of your previous work; not quite there yet however. Note that you've lost a lot of detail in parts of the white. I think if you'd dialed on about 1/3 stop of FEC you would have nailed it. Keep shooting!

Thank you..I see what your saying about the whites. I get so involved with taking the pictures I forget to look at my histogram, which is kind of important!! :x

Even more important when shooting a scene like this is your 'blinkies'. Set your rear LCD to display blown highlights and check that after each shot until you nail the exposure.

+1 on the blinkies advice.

Their skin is looking a bit over exposed for what I'd expect.

The white dresses acted like huge flash reflectors here. Bad clothing choice for flash photography in my opinion. White is more for just natural light. If you tone down the exposure and play with the curves you should be able to save it.
