Pre-Processed Trees

Due to time/weather/not feeling well, didn't get a lot of shooting in this weekend. Here is one I managed to find outside of an apartment.

I like the patterns and the graining of the wood, just not sure about the overall shot.

Quite good B&W editing, but I'm not a fan of that composition. That shape in the lower right corner is kind of distracting. Not bad, but nothing special.

Not really coming together. I think if the top is cropped off, the sides should be as well. I'd try cropping a little more on top and some on the sides, so none of the ends are in the frame - might be more graphic and have a stronger impact that way. The object lower right doesn't bother me, especially if cropping puts it right in the corner - it could be the thing breaking the pattern, which sometimes creates some interest.

Very interesting abstract, keeps my mind moving.

I like how the ends of the diagonals end on the same line as the vertical in the background, good exposure, plenty of shadow detail and the contrast is perfect.

Composition is weak here. I agree with the comments regarding the top cut off.
