preference?

#1 is my pick. #2 is very harsh and even though very high perspective seems to lose it's depth.
 
I agree w/everyone #1 really does it. The movement in it is great, it leads my eye nicely thru the pic.
 
I guess I'm the only one who likes #2. :oops:

I agree that #1 is technically the better photograph, but such high contrast like on the second photo just stimulates me on a more emotional level. I like it when you can't make out every object in the photograph. It adds an element of mystery.
 
Number 1 for me! I really like this photo, the receding perspective makes it appear almost three dimensional
 
#1 is definately the one I like the best. I like the effect you are going for in number 2 but like Orie said I think it just a bit too much, for my tastes anyhow! Neat composition though!

I prefer the first image, although I like the warmer tone of #2. How about a warm tone version of #1?
