Problem with resizing in Lightroom

The OP is 100% correct. I came across this issue awhile ago. Lightroom degrades images when you export them at less than 1500 pixels on the long side.

To see for yourself export a .jpg from Lightroom at 800 pixels on the long side at maximum quality with "sharpen for screen" set to high.
Next open the same working file in Photoshop, resize to 800 pixels and save to .jpg.
Compare the two .jpg files by cycling back and forth between them. The Photoshop resized version will be MARKEDLY better in detail and crispness. Above 1500 pixels there's no difference.

Well, that's just weird. I don't have Photoshop to compare, and I never export smaller than 2048. Can anyone else confirm this?

OP sorry for getting back late. Did you keep your original ratio/aspect while downsizing? Changes in original ratio will cause fuzziness

Btw only vector graphics will have no visual differences when resizing. All else there will be more or less visible to the human eye
