Problem with taking red flowers with s9900w camera

I have only had my camera 2 weeks and have taken loads of flowers with my macro lens which came out beautiful. I have it set on the red camera picture which allows me to use the flower macro very nicely. Then my camellia bloomed a beautiful bright red flower and when I took this one it washed out
the detail and it was disappointing. What do you suggest?

Please post the image, and include more information. If you upload the photo from your computer, it should still have the EXIF attached which will help us diagnose the problem.
