protecting a fisheye?

this may be a really dumb question but is there any way of protecting the rounded front element of a FE lens?

already has a small one built in but im talking about the glass itself, front element is exposed and im always scared something is going to happen to it. i have a clear filter on the front of both my other lenses so if they get hit its $30 instead of sending the lens in, im just wondering if there is anything like that i can do to a FE

Just be careful , My fisheye has a cap that slides over the built on pedals of a hood. It slips off real easy, to easy at times.
