purchased 58mm fish eye lens for my canon

I purchased a 58mm fish eye lens for my canon rebel T3. It said it would fit my camera but it does not go on but did not come with an adapter ring, so I ordered a 52-58mm adapter ring. I'm not sure if this ring is going to fit on my camera so I can finally use my new lens. I tried looking all over the internet to see if this ring would work with my camera but had no luck.

What is the circumference of the lens that you are trying to connect the fisheye to? I'm assuming that the fisheye is one of the attachments to convert a regular lens and not an actual fisheye lens...
