When combined with the purplish flowers makes for a fairly odd look I thought.

Some tree in the parking lot at the mall. I think it's some kind of crab apple but with all the different cultivars and hybrids available I think the lines get blurred.

For all I know genetic manipulation has entered the ornamental tree area as well.

Nice!
You seem to be a lot in to flowers!!

How did you manage to go thru winter?? :)

Anyways, what took you to flowers??

Flowers are so patient.
With no wind going, they don't fuss, don't wiggle, they don't pull a face, they don't complain about the hundredth photo taken... I think that makes flowers such satisfying objects.

And with colours like these before a sky as blue as this one I find it pretty understandable that you just HAVE TO take a picture such as this one.

DrDan, I like ALL your flower pictures, whether taken in winter or spring (I still have to wait and see what you're going to present us in summer and autumn - ok: fall).

Flowers are just so available in and around Colorado Springs and like someone said, flowers are so pretty anyway it's almost like cheating since it makes it easy to get pretty pictures.
