Quick Disconnect Camera Straps?

Mind you, I have not the slightest idea what exactly you are trying to do by switching straps on the fly and it may help to know.

All I can think of is that I never bought a strap :)

I've used the one that came in the box with the camera and it did the job. Can we maybe suggest ideas on how to use that one better?

Well I ordered the BlackRapid two days ago and it was supposed to arrive anywhere from 25th to the 5th of June... The guys at avidmax are flipping fast.

I gotta say the 1st impression of this strap is quite up there as I expected if not even better... can't figure out why I didn't have something like this earlier... its comfy, sturdy, looks good and I can't even feel the camera... this makes hiking much easier.

That's all I have ever had as well.

The thing is I like the idea of the blackrapid/sun-sniper strap, so I would like to have one and use it, but I don't want to have to deal with taking the existing Nikon strap off my camera to switch to it (it's a real bugger). So I'd like to be able to swap back and forth with relative ease.

So I was on Craigs list and just happened to find a Black Rapid RS-7 for 34 bucks, I picked it up and REALLY like it.

Never again will I use another strap with disconnnect clips. This one being one piece gives me so much security that a clasp will accidentally release. I would suggest a second attachment for the triopd socket (FastenR-3 » BlackRapid.com) because I like to have one on my 70-200 tripod mount and on my camera body when I use a smaller lens. They also have fastener for a manfrotto quick release plate that should come in handy for easy switching btw hand held and tripod.

Definately give it a look if you haven't bought one yet!
