quick!! Last might camera decision!!

I was set on an Xsi with a 50mm 1.8 and was going to pick it up tonight. Then I was offered an Xti with either an 18-55 or a 28-80...

what would you do!?

Well the Xsi is the newer body of the two and has a few more features over the Xti and I would probably go for the slightly newer over the slightly older body (note I started with an Xti (400D)). Either body will do you well as will either lens setup so you can't make a wrong choice as such. That said I was never a big fan of the 18-55mm lens that came with the Xti and (at least optically speaking) the 50mm f1.8 is superior.

So I'd say go for your original plan.
