I need to get some big posters made up of fishing situations 7 by 7 foot can this be done by my D3000 ?
Any help or information would be great thanks

Not sure what resolution you camera outputs, but I have a 5Dthat I've used to create VERY large images. We design/produce environmental branding and make large prints all the time.

I have one image of a meadow/tree line that is 12' high x 70' long, shot with my 5D. Of course this particular image was shot as a 22 (vertical) image panoramic to help gain resolution from the start. Then ran through Genuine Fractals 6 Professional Edition. If you need to go as high as like 1600%, I would suggest going at it a couple of smaller increases to get where you want to be.

^Awesome software. The BEST thing for enlarging an image with minimal quality loss. It does such a good job it's almost creepy.

Thanks for that lads but dont think i could justify buying the software for 7 posters is there any setting on my camera i need to set first that will help when i take my card to a printer? Thanks again
